Keeping Our Residents Active and Engaged

Group Of Seniors Enjoying Fitness Class In Retirement Home

As a community that prioritizes the well-being of our residents, we recognize the importance of regular exercise, especially for older adults who may require more attention to their physical health needs. As such, we are delighted to provide group fitness classes multiple times each week.

These classes are led by professional trainers from Live 2 B Healthy® who are knowledgeable and experienced in catering to the unique needs of older adults’ physical fitness. Regular participation in these classes is an excellent way to maintain good physical health while improving mood and overall well-being.

We understand that exercise can sometimes be challenging to maintain, but with the support and encouragement of a group, it becomes more motivating and enjoyable… promoting healthy living and aging gracefully, together as a small, familiar community.

Check out these benefits of regular exercise in seniors:

• Improved cardiovascular health: Regular exercise can help improve cardiovascular health, reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke. Group fitness classes that include cardio exercises such as dancing, aerobics, and cycling can be particularly effective in improving cardiovascular health in older adults.

• Increased strength and endurance: Group fitness classes that focus on strength training can help improve muscle strength and endurance in older adults. Improved strength and endurance can help older adults perform everyday tasks more easily and reduce their risk of falls and injuries.

• Better balance and flexibility: Group fitness classes that incorporate balance and flexibility exercises can help improve these areas in older adults. Improved balance and flexibility can help reduce the risk of falls and injuries and improve overall mobility.

Weight management: Regular exercise can help older adults manage their weight and reduce their risk of obesity and related health problems. Group fitness classes that incorporate a variety of exercises can be an effective way to help older adults maintain a healthy weight.

• Reduced chronic pain: Exercise has been shown to be effective in reducing chronic pain in older adults. Group fitness classes that focus on low-impact exercises can be particularly effective in reducing chronic pain and improving mobility.
